It's all downhill from here...

No. of km done:500
No. of km to target: 500
Conditions: Cloudy and warm
Starting music: The Hindu Times by Oasis
Finishing music: All Night Long by Hayseed Dixie

Half a million metres, 6 months, three pairs of trainers, three Walkmans (Walkmen?), and 47 hours or so of running later, I'm halfway. And only two blisters so far - same foot, same place, so it should probably only count once anyway ;)

If you'd like to sponsor me for the home stretch (if 500 km can be referred to as a home stretch), then that'd be awesome. The link, as ever, is:

Thanks for your support so far!

Gaah - my second Sony running walkman, bought to replace the previous one that died after sterling service, has conked out. I know they're not waterproof, but this one seems to have gone on the fritz pretty quickly and I'm convinced it's the result of being caught out on a rainy day a while back. Oh well, replacement replacement ordered (I'd try another brand, but I've never seen any other one similar available).

Edging close to the 500km mark and on schedule - should be on the downhill stretch as of the end of June!

Well after a bit of a break from blogging because of some busy weeks at work, I'm back. Rapidly approaching the halfway mark too, and currently bang on schedule! As far as I can tell, by mid-July I should be past the 500 km mark and after that I'll make much more of a push for sponsorship too (I figure if I prove I can make it halfway, people will be more likely to believe I can make it all the way!).

No real niggles or gribbles the last few runs other than some guy's knackered-looking barge leaking some diesel into the canal and stinking the place up as it evaporated. Unpleasant for me, positively horrible for all the ducklings around at the moment. Thankfully there don't seem to be many where his boat was moored so fingers crossed he fixes it before too long.
